Shiells Conveyancing

Shiells has one of the busiest residential Conveyancing departments in the region. We avoid the factory processing model which is often adopted, using approachable and expert lawyers to deliver a service which the nature of this transaction deserves.

‘Conveyancing’ refers to the legal formalities of buying and selling your home. Once you have found the house you want or found a buyer (please see our Estate Agency service), we can organize everything from surveys, home buyers reports, the sale and purchase contract, your mortgage, and the deeds to transfer ownership of your house - everything to picking up or handing over the keys.

If there are any queries arising out of your survey report, we have an extensive network of contacts amongst relevant trades, such as timber specialists, to ensure that you have the full picture, before you buy.

We can work with Shiells Financial Planning™ to assist you to obtain a suitable mortgage, and review your overall financial plan.

Combined, we have more than 50 years of experience in handling conveyancing transactions. As with our Estate Agency service, we will do everything possible to make the sale and purchase of your home stress-free. We will advise you at each stage, and use our extensive experience and expertise to resolve potential difficulties quickly, so as to minimize any interruption to the smooth progress of your sale and purchase.

We provide Conveyancing services on a fixed price quote, and will advise you in advance of all other costs that you will incur, such as Stamp Duty and the fees for registering your title, so that you know exactly how much you will spend, before you engage us.
